Effective June 30, 2026. These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of joelschaeffer.com (the "Site"), operated by LightWave Media LLC ("Lightwave Media", "we", "us") on behalf of Joel E. Schaeffer.
By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
About the Site
The Site presents Joel E. Schaeffer's cinematography and photography work and provides a way to submit professional enquiries. Lightwave Media acts as the booking and representation desk. Nothing on the Site constitutes a binding offer until confirmed in writing by the parties.
Intellectual property
All content on the Site — including images, video, text, logos, and design — is owned by Joel E. Schaeffer, LightWave Media LLC, or licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
You may view and share links to the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, publicly display, scrape, or create derivative works from Site content without prior written permission, except as allowed by law.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Site for unlawful, harassing, fraudulent, or abusive purposes.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars (USD $100) or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, whichever is greater.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LightWave Media LLC and Joel E. Schaeffer from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Site or violation of these Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always published on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
